Black first appeared in 1985, it's a very commonly seen colour despite only being found recently. Black often has patches of white on the belly and chin and also a browning of the fur. [1]
Breeding notes for Black
Never breed Black and Silver Grey where possible. It creates a colour mutation known as "Dingy Black" Which is off standard for a Black and can cause confusion with Blue (aadd) Hamsters that are quite dark.
